About Gregory

Do you ever meet someone with sunlight radiating through their chest? The warmth of their soul reflective to all those around it, guiding us to grow towards the stars we all resign under? That was the heart of Greg. He believed that we are all intertwined. That our souls try on each others shoes and walk amongst as one. We often discussed our lives, our hardships, our dreams. His laugh was like the first spring birds song, bringing smiles to all those lucky enough to hear it. I know he rests among us. He continuities his journey, walking in the shoes of the wind, the birds, the rustling of trees. Although we cannot see him—we will always feel his presence. Every good memory brings his spirit forth to our hearts. Every picture a moment in time forever repeating. I promised him to live life as a celebration, to continue on walking. I will bring his memory to all the places he has yet to see, and hope that when we see each other again it will be just like old times. May your soul rest happily Greg.

Gregory was an outgoing, fun-loving, very social young man. He loved the outdoors, whether he was hiking a local trail or walking the beach with his German shepherd, Phionna. He succumbed to fentanyl in the prime of his young life, leaving his parents, siblings, and friends in bewildered disbelief. We all miss him so much. We mourn for him every day.

As of this writing, the person who sold Gregory the fentanyl is still walking free, while our son is dead. We have been told by law enforcement that they have done all they can. They told us that the way the law is written in our state (Massachusetts), it is just impossible to prosecute the dealer. As a result, we have reached out to our state legislators, asking for their help in getting a law on the books dealing specifically with fentanyl. We were lucky enough to get a state senator to respond and take an interest in our son’s case. The senator and his staff are currently working on writing legislation specific to fentanyl prosecution. We know this is a long uphill battle, but we are ready for the fight and look forward to a positive outcome.
