Stay Connected. Stay Involved.

On April 11, 2026, Gregory’s Run 4 Hope 5K brings our community together in Scituate, Massachusetts for a meaningful morning of purpose, remembrance, and impact.

Hosted by the Gregory Mark Shea II Foundation (143G), this annual 5K raises awareness around substance use disorder and the devastating reality of fentanyl poisoning while actively funding education, family support, and pathways forward for those navigating loss.

Run. Volunteer. Show up.
Every mile represents awareness. Every step supports healing.

An Official 2026 Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Race

Gregory’s Run 4 Hope 5K has been named an Official 2026 Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix race, an honor reserved for just twelve local races each year.

This designation recognizes events that meet a high standard for organization, participation, and runner experience. Grand Prix races attract dedicated runners competing across the full series, earning points by age group and gender throughout the season, with recognition awarded at the Colonial Road Runners annual banquet.

All Grand Prix races are in person, reinforcing the quality and credibility of the series and elevating the race experience for participants.

Why Gregory’s Run 4 Hope Matters

Participation directly fuels real and local impact, including:

  • Community education around substance use disorder and fentanyl risk

  • Resiliency Scholarships for graduating seniors impacted by loss

  • Burial assistance grants for families facing sudden tragedy

  • Grief support baskets and resources for newly bereaved families

  • Outreach and education programs that reduce stigma and promote awareness

This is how awareness turns into action.

A Proven Impact

In 2025, more than 200 runners registered for Gregory’s Run 4 Hope in Scituate. Through the collective support of our sponsors and community, we were proud to award four Resiliency Scholarships to graduating seniors at Scituate High School, honoring students who demonstrated strength and perseverance in the face of loss and adversity.

The 2026 Grand Prix designation positions the race for even greater participation, visibility, and regional recognition throughout the South Shore and beyond.
